Museums and an Abandoned Mine

August 10, 2021 Diverse Language Services

Take a journey back in time exploring the history of mining in Baja California Sur. Visit an abandoned mine dating back to the 1930’s. Enjoy lunch (guest responsibility) at one of the local restaurants with our recommendations the El Minera Restaurant. After lunch a quick walk to the Museo del Vaqueros de las Californias. Both museums are extremely informative and enlightening. Baja California Sur played a big role on the world stage for both mining and cattle rearing. Find out who introduced the world to the ukelele!

Includes:  Hotel transportation (La Paz), guide, mine and museum entry fees and beverages and snacks. Lunch and crew gratuities not included. Transportation for groups of 4 or more from areas outside of La Paz (Cabo and east/west capes) is available. Please contact our office for quote.
