We have designed the add-ons for guests who are travelling internationally wishing to extend their stay before or after our expeditions to experience more of this amazing country.

Only available to Panterra guests as pre/post trip add-ons and past Panterra participants.

Snorkel with Whale Sharks

Information:   The Bay of La Paz is one of the most important feeding areas in the world for juvenile whale sharks. As the largest fish in the world they can be found feeding on the surface allowing the snorkelers to approach and swim alongside. They are docile, harmless and beautiful, allowing for an amazing up close and personal experience. Our professional guide will instruct and be in the water alongside you to ensure you have a safe and memorable experience. Good swimming skills are required. 
Cost:   $80  / $70 for 5 – 10 guests
Duration:   2.5 hrs

Espiritu Santos Island Tour

Information:   The island of Espiritu Santos is one of the most beautiful island in the Sea of Cortez. Its crystal blue waters allows for some amazing snorkeling with an abundance of marine life. Snorkel, visit a sea lion colony, explore the treasures of this magical island.
You will head to the island, tour and snorkel with California sea lions at their volcanic habitat of Los Islotes, stop for lunch at a white sandy beach with crystal waters to snorkel or simply enjoy the sun and scenery.

Gray Whales of Magdalena Bay

Information:   Making the longest migration of marine mammals, the gray whales journey from their frigid waters of the Arctic to their wintering grounds in the lagoons on the Pacific side of the Baja Peninsula. Females arrive to give birth, teach their young while males search to mate with other females.
The tour begins with an authentic ranch style breakfast stop along the way. The journey is 3 hours by comfortable, air conditioned, vans to Magdalena Bay. Upon arrival you will board the pangas for 3 hrs of whalewatching, followed by a fresh scallop, fish, or beef lunch before heading back to La Paz.

West Cape Adventure (Arts and Culture)

Information:   Our destination is Todos Santos. This older, quaint, traditional Mexican town is known for its shopping. A plethora of boutiques, souvenir shops and art galleries offering leather, cotton, ceramics, glassware, hand crafted goods and silver jewellery. The joy of shopping in Todos Santos is in wandering the streets shop after shop with so much to offer the buyer. You may even choose to have lunch at the famous Hotel California of the Eagles band fame.

East Cape Adventure (Wildlife and History)

Information:   Our destinations are San Antonio and El Triunfo. San Antonio offers easy hiking on the newly developed trails through the ranchlands. Bird watching and visit to a local ranch allows you to learn about the history of the area and to explore an abundance of desert life. After San Antonio visit El Triunfo for the mining museum and enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants.

Copper Canyon by Train 

Information:   This trip takes you into the magic mountains of Copper Canyon in the state of Chihuahua and details the culture of the Rarámuri or Tarahumara indigenous peoples. Be ready to hike, horseback ride, visits indigenous communities – several different options of experiencing this spiritual canyon.

Monarch Butterflies and Mexico City 

Information:  This trip is a full immersion into the incredible monarch phenomenon at the reserves in the state of Michoacán and details of the monarch migrations, life cycle, population and environmental threat issues. Be ready to hike uphill at every reserve however there are horses available for a small fee.
