March 2026 - Soar the Skies Meet the Whales - It was a beautiful day to fly! Marine wildlife like whales and dolphins easily viewed from the plane. Great views of the unique geology of the remote coastline and rugged interiors of southern Baja California Sur. Surprise visit to an oyster farm in Magdalena Bay and amazing, up-close encounters with birds, great whales and dolphins. This trip is a great way to experience the Pacific side of the peninsula in one day - and the varied ecosystems like dunes, mangroves, islands, canyons, and lagoons. Thank you for organizing!

Feb 2020 - Snorkel and Wildlife Cruise - This review is long overdue as I have now been on several expeditions with Eco-Panterra, Lela and her crew. I will review my most recent awesome trip that I consider a privilege to have been a part of. This trip was not on a boat for a week which I normally went on. It started our first night at the lovely Hotel Catedral. We met for a nice dinner and introduction of our fellow travelers. The next morning we were up early, divided into two vans and off we went for our first destination. I can't remember the names of all the places we stopped at but had an incredible education at each stop as well as tasty food. But the main event was the 3 different places along our 5 day journey that we stopped at to see the whales. Each day we divided into small groups of 6 and boarded a small panga boat that took us out into Magdalena Bay where the whales were with their babies. Lela provided us 3 great experiences in our 5 days, the first by being able to see, approach and touch the Gray whales in a very remote shallow birthing bay. The next experience was to do the same in a deeper bay where the whales were able to spy hop and dive, again with limited people around. The 3rd experience was to join the masses and converge in numbers upon a whale! It is Mexico's tourism afterall. We saw thousands of different types of birds, various beaches, and a group of killer whales in the bay, a rare sight! The benefit/luxury of choosing Eco-Panterra is the knowledge, safety and small personal care/experiences that Lela and her crew provide each participant. This trip hit very rural areas and I found nothing but raw beauty in the people, animals, environment and FOOD! The food everywhere we stopped was the BEST!!!! The Baja penninsula is beautiful, the sea and it's creatures, the night stars, the quiet life style and the beauty of the experience either on land or sea is something that keeps me coming back to one or two tours a year thru Eco-Panterra because EVERY time it is unique and different and I come home alive and wondering why I just don't move there! So don't hesitate and think a bigger company would be better. This company is a gem!!!!!

August 2026 - Mexico Summer Adventure - Had an amazing time in Mexico City and Baja California Sur. Lela met us at the ferry station and we had 2 amazing days in the sea with spectacular marine life. Lela was very friendly and hospitable. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Mexico. We were 2 families of 4 adults and 4 children visiting from London. I would love to visit Baja California Sur again to see more marine life. In the middle of our trip we spent 5 nights from Los Mochis to Creel on the Chepe Express which was so scenic and beautiful.
