Over the years Panterra has invested thousands of dollars in supporting local Mexican conservationists, researchers and post secondary students in their efforts to save our ocean’s inhabitants.
In the fall of 2018, Panterra had the honor of signing an agreement with the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Sur, to support and provide research opportunities not only for the university but for an international alliance of universities for the purpose of collaborative research, studies, innovation and technological endeavors.
We are also assisting the remote communities we work with in setting up ongoing research and conservation programs where members of the community actually work alongside the scientists.
Whether it is documenting new archaeological sites, studying flora, fauna and geology, at sea studying a variety of marine life or setting up oceanographic monitoring stations, our goal is to bring local communities and the scientific community together. Our current programs include working with whale sharks and sea turtles and we look forward to our continued support of developing programs for other terrestrial and marine life species.
On all of our expeditions we endeavor to include at least one conservation program so our guests can experience the importance of saving not only our oceans but our Earth as well. We can all make a difference through education, public awareness and action.
