Espiritu Santo Island Snorkel

Information:

Experience the breathtaking beauty of Espiritu Santo and La Partida, two of the most stunning islands in the Sea of Cortez. Dive into crystal-clear blue waters, rich with vibrant marine life—truly a snorkeler's dream! From September to May, don't miss the highlight of the tour: the unique opportunity to swim alongside playful sea lions. Discover a captivating micro-ecosystem bursting with diverse birds, lively fish, radiant coral, and more. During the tour, you may even spot whales, dolphins, and mobula rays.
Your adventure begins with a scenic walk along the Malecon to the boat at the government dock. You'll be fitted with a life jacket, snorkel, mask, fins and wetsuit. A delicious lunch, refreshing beverages, and light snacks are provided. Boat features an onboard washroom for guest comfort.
Crew gratuity is not included. To fully enjoy this experience, it is highly recommended guests have a knowledge of water safety skills and swimming abilities. Information: Please note: All guests must carry their passport or Mexican government ID. We must clear a roadside immigration check stop and could be turned back if any guest does not have the proper ID. Early rise! Magdalena Bay is world renowned for gray whale interaction with humans. It is one of three nurseries and breeding grounds of the Pacific gray whales. During the months of Dec – Mar. the gray whales, after a 5000 mile migration south,  gather in the protected lagoons where breeding or birthing takes place.  Glimpse into the mysterious world of these amazing cetaceans. Note: 1) Our Gray Whale day trips are private and opened to guests booked through Panterra only. We place a maximum 7 guests + naturalist per panga not the normal 10 - 14 guests. 2) Our trips are 3 - 4 hours in length in the area of the gray whales and not the normal 2 hours. Includes:  Transportation from La Paz, ranchero style breakfast enroute, 3 - 4 hours of whale watching and naturalist. Lunch and crew gratuities not included. Information: Take a journey back in time exploring the history of mining in Baja California Sur. Visit an abandoned mine dating back to the 1930's. Enjoy lunch (guest responsibility) at one of the local restaurants with our recommendations the El Minera Restaurant. After lunch a quick walk to the Museo del Vaqueros de las Californias. Both museums are extremely informative and enlightening. Baja California Sur played a big role on the world stage for both mining and cattle rearing. Find out who introduced the world to the ukelele! We venture into the Sierra de la Laguna mountains to explore the San Dionisio Canyon, an ecologically significant and breathtaking area featuring sparkling waterfalls and natural waterholes. Located within the canyon is one of the oldest family-run ranches in the region, with a history spanning 300 years. This ranch has upheld a sustainable and traditional lifestyle throughout its history. During your visit, you can enjoy a day filled with activities, including touring the organic gardens and visiting the livestock pens. Take a nature walk to learn about local medicinal plants, indulge in a traditional Mexican cooking experience, and discover the art of leather processing—where you can even try your hand at making a small keepsake. To conclude your day, take a short 5-minute hike to one of the river's waterholes, where you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the natural pool. Information: Experience one of the greatest conservation stories in the Sea of Cortez. A story where millions of sea turtles begin their extraordinary journey! From April to December, female turtles return to their birthplace to lay their eggs, and dedicated conservationists work tirelessly to protect them. They collect the nests and relocate them to safe, controlled environments, ensuring the hatchlings have the best chance of survival. Once hatched, these tiny turtles are released back into the ocean—a moment you'll never forget, especially knowing that only 1 in 1,000 will survive. Before arriving to the sea turtle conservation area, we will make a quick stop to enjoy a delicious ranch-style breakfast. Transportation

Information: Our transportation service features friendly, professionally trained staff who are fully licensed and experienced. The vans are current models, accommodating 10 to 21 passengers. They are clean, full-size coaches with federal tourist plates, commercial insurance, and all necessary permits for picking up and dropping off at hotels and airports. Transfers are monitored through driver communications. Safety and comfort are our top priorities. We do not transfer guests outside of daylight hours.
